Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Meticulously read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) to determine assembly procedures.
- Skillfully use a wide array of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to assemble components and sub-assemblies with precision.
- Position, align, and carefully fit parts to form complete units or subassemblies, following established work instructions and quality protocols.
- Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, adhesives, and other fasteners, ensuring secure and durable connections.
- Perform repetitive assembly line tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency to maintain production flow and meet daily targets.
- Conduct in-process and final quality control checks on components and finished products to identify any defects, scratches, or imperfections.
- Operate production line equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, making minor adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify, report, and troubleshoot any issues with parts, equipment, or the assembly process to supervisors for prompt resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to 5S principles and all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Calibrate, test, and inspect completed products to verify they meet strict functional and quality specifications before final packaging.
- Handle and transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to and from workstations, either manually or using material handling equipment.
- Rotate through various tasks and stations on the assembly floor to support team flexibility and meet fluctuating production demands.
- Accurately document production data, including work order progress, quality inspection results, and material usage, in our manufacturing execution system (MES).
- Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, and engineers to resolve production challenges and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform visual inspections of all components before and after the assembly process to ensure they are free from flaws and meet aesthetic standards.
Secondary Functions
- Assist in performing routine inventory counts and managing component supplies to maintain an efficient workflow and prevent shortages.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events aimed at enhancing production efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members by demonstrating proper assembly techniques and safety procedures.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance on assembly tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working order.
- Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring they are protected and prepared for storage or shipment.
- Verify component specifications by using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to confirm they meet requirements.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical assembly environment.
