Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct in-depth design consultations with residential and commercial clients, both in-showroom and on-site, to accurately assess their functional needs, lifestyle, budget, and aesthetic preferences.
- Develop and present comprehensive design proposals, incorporating flooring materials, colors, patterns, and layout recommendations to create a cohesive and visually appealing space.
- Expertly guide clients through a wide range of flooring products, including hardwood, laminate, LVP, carpet, and tile, explaining the features, benefits, and maintenance of each option.
- Generate accurate project estimates, quotes, and sales orders using company software, ensuring all materials, labor, and associated costs are correctly calculated and clearly communicated.
- Utilize design software (such as CAD, 2020 Design, or similar programs) to create scaled floor plans, renderings, and mood boards that help clients visualize the final outcome.
- Proactively follow up on leads and quotes to close sales and achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and gross profit margin goals.
- Perform precise on-site measurements and assessments of project areas to ensure material quantities are accurate and to identify any potential installation challenges.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with installers, project managers, and vendors to ensure a smooth and timely execution.
- Maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of all flooring products, industry trends, installation techniques, and competitor offerings to position yourself as a true flooring expert.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, builders, and real estate agents to foster repeat business and generate new referral opportunities.
- Manage the sales pipeline and client interactions meticulously within a CRM system, documenting all communications, design choices, and project statuses.
- Resolve any client issues or concerns with professionalism and urgency, working to find satisfactory solutions that uphold the company's reputation for quality service.
Secondary Functions
