Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Execute the timely and accurate stocking, rotation, and facing of all products on shelves, in coolers, and within designated display areas to maintain optimal product freshness and availability.
- Strategically build, maintain, and break down promotional and seasonal displays, ensuring they are visually appealing, structurally sound, and compliant with company and retailer guidelines.
- Implement and maintain planogram integrity, ensuring all products are placed in their correct schematic location with the proper number of facings to meet consumer demand.
- Cultivate and nurture strong, productive relationships with key store personnel, including Department Managers, Store Directors, and Receiving staff, to facilitate seamless execution and collaboration.
- Proactively negotiate for incremental, high-visibility display space and optimal shelf placement to increase brand presence and outperform competitors.
- Conduct regular, scheduled store visits within an assigned territory, efficiently managing a route to maximize time and effectiveness on the sales floor.
- Monitor product inventory levels, including backstock, and communicate potential out-of-stock or overstock situations to the appropriate sales managers or store personnel.
- Ensure all products are accurately priced and that all point-of-sale materials, such as shelf talkers, coupons, and signage, are correctly installed and maintained.
- Identify and report on competitive activity, including new product launches, pricing changes, and promotional strategies, providing valuable market intelligence.
- Manage the product rotation process using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to minimize spoilage and ensure customers are purchasing the freshest product possible.
- Address and resolve in-store challenges, such as damaged products, pricing discrepancies, or placement issues, with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.
- Utilize company-provided technology (tablets, handheld devices) to accurately capture and report data from store visits, including activity logs, photo submissions, and inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in both the backroom and on the sales floor, adhering to all retailer safety and sanitation policies.
- Act as the in-store brand expert, occasionally educating store staff and consumers on product features, benefits, and usage.
- Place and transmit product orders for specific accounts where required, ensuring accuracy to prevent service interruptions.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and merchandising execution within your assigned stores and proactively present solutions to your manager.
Secondary Functions
- Support the sales team by providing real-time field insights on store conditions, customer feedback, and inventory levels.
- Participate actively in team meetings, conference calls, and training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge and merchandising skills.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 1-3 years of experience in a retail, grocery, CPG, or related environment.
