Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and lobbies, verifying credentials and ensuring all visitors are properly logged and authorized for entry.
- Operate and maintain a constant watch over advanced security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm panels, and access control software to detect and respond to irregularities.
- Greet, assist, and direct all employees, visitors, contractors, and residents in a courteous and professional manner, providing a positive and secure first impression.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the property's interior and exterior to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and other critical incidents such as medical issues, fires, or security breaches, and coordinate with emergency services.
- Author and submit detailed, accurate, and timely daily activity logs (DARs) and incident reports, documenting all security-related activities and unusual occurrences.
- Enforce all company and property-specific rules, regulations, and policies in a fair and consistent manner to maintain order and ensure the safety of all individuals.
- Act as a central communication hub by answering incoming phone calls, managing the front desk switchboard, and routing calls or messages to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage the issuance, retrieval, and inventory of access cards, keys, and visitor badges, maintaining meticulous records to ensure accountability.
- Act as a strong visual deterrent to crime and misconduct by maintaining a professional appearance and a vigilant, alert posture at all times while on post.
- Provide clear and concise information and directions to visitors regarding facility layouts, services, safety procedures, and policies.
- Screen incoming mail and packages for potential threats and manage the secure logging, storage, and distribution of deliveries to the appropriate recipients.
Secondary Functions
- Identify, document, and promptly report any safety hazards, lighting deficiencies, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate facilities or management personnel.
- Assist in emergency evacuation procedures by guiding personnel to designated safe assembly areas and ensuring an orderly process.
- Liaise effectively with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services during incidents, providing them with critical information and support upon their arrival.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the site’s post orders, emergency response plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Handle and attempt to de-escalate interpersonal conflicts or disputes calmly and professionally before they escalate, using approved conflict resolution techniques.
- Monitor and manage parking areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations and assist with traffic control during peak hours or special events.
- Complete all required and ongoing security training and certifications, staying current with industry best practices, new technologies, and legal requirements.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the facility, ensuring all designated areas are secured and unarmed at the appropriate times.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
