Primary Functions

- Maintain optimal fuel inventory levels across a diverse network of storage facilities, effectively balancing supply security with working capital costs.
- Lead the development and implementation of sophisticated risk management and hedging strategies to protect the organization against adverse fuel price fluctuations.
- Meticulously audit and reconcile all fuel-related invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing, taxes, and fees, and promptly resolving any discrepancies with vendors.
- Cultivate and manage strategic, long-term relationships with key fuel suppliers and industry partners to foster collaboration, innovation, and drive sustained value.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing fuel transportation, storage, and environmental standards (e.g., EPA, DOT, IFTA).

- Manage and administer the corporate fuel card program, including policy creation and enforcement, fraud detection, and performance reporting.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per gallon/mile, inventory turns, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate complex logistics for fuel deliveries to ensure timely and efficient replenishment across the network, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Evaluate and lead projects related to alternative fuels and sustainable energy sources (e.g., Renewable Diesel, SAF, Electric) to support corporate ESG goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all fuel-related inquiries and emergencies, developing robust contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Sustainability teams to ensure the fuel strategy is fully aligned with broader business objectives.
