Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, articulate, and execute the fund's overarching investment strategy and thesis, ensuring alignment with the fund’s mandate and the expectations of Limited Partners.
  • Lead the entire investment lifecycle, from proactive deal sourcing and initial screening to conducting comprehensive due diligence, complex valuation, and strategic negotiation.
  • Actively source and originate a robust pipeline of high-quality, proprietary investment opportunities through an extensive personal network of industry contacts, entrepreneurs, and co-investors.
  • Oversee the strategic construction and dynamic management of a diversified and high-performing investment portfolio, continuously balancing risk and return.
  • Serve as a key voting member of the Investment Committee, responsible for preparing and presenting highly detailed investment memorandums and defending complex investment theses.
  • Spearhead and manage all fundraising efforts for current and future funds, including crafting the narrative, preparing marketing materials, and cultivating deep relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on operational support to portfolio companies, frequently by taking a board seat or observer role to accelerate growth, drive profitability, and guide key strategic decisions.
  • Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of successful exit strategies, including M&A transactions, secondary sales, or IPOs, to maximize returns for the fund.
  • Monitor the ongoing financial and operational performance of all portfolio companies, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), potential risks, and value-creation opportunities.
  • Manage all critical aspects of fund administration, including overseeing capital calls, distributions, and ensuring strict compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling quarterly and annual performance reports, financial statements, and detailed strategic updates to Limited Partners and advisory boards.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of investment professionals, including analysts, associates, and principals, fostering a culture of intellectual rigor, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Represent the fund as a thought leader at premier industry conferences, panels, and exclusive networking events to enhance brand visibility and fortify market presence.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models for LBO, DCF, M&A, and returns analysis to support and challenge investment decision-making.
  • Lead the negotiation of complex legal documents, including term sheets, shareholder agreements, and purchase agreements, in close collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.

  • Facilitate regular, transparent communication and strategic alignment between the fund's General Partners (GPs) and its Limited Partner (LP) base.
