Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Assist licensed funeral directors with the coordination and execution of all logistical aspects of funeral, memorial, and graveside services.
Greet and escort mourners, family members, and friends, providing a comforting and professional presence during visitations and services.
Participate in the transfer of the deceased from the place of death (hospital, nursing home, residence) to the funeral home with dignity and respect.
Prepare the visitation rooms and chapel for services, including arranging floral tributes, placing photos and memorabilia, and setting up casket or urn displays.
