Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Interpret and analyze complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and detailed specifications to understand project scope, dimensions, and material requirements.
Select and grade raw lumber and other materials, ensuring they meet the quality standards and aesthetic requirements for each project.
Operate a wide array of professional woodworking machinery, including table saws, jointers, planers, band saws, shapers, and sanders, with a strict adherence to safety protocols.
Set up and operate CNC routing equipment for precise cutting and shaping of components, demonstrating the ability to make adjustments as needed.
Execute a variety of wood joinery techniques, such as mortise and tenon, dovetails, and doweling, to ensure structural integrity and a high-quality finish.
Precisely measure, cut, and shape wood components, veneers, and laminates according to design specifications, maintaining tight tolerances.
Assemble furniture components using clamps, fasteners, and adhesives, ensuring all parts are square, flush, and securely joined.

Apply a range of finishes, including stains, sealers, paints, oils, and lacquers, using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve the desired look and durability.

Secondary Functions
