Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive visual and sensory inspections of all individual gift components, from gourmet foods to bespoke items, ensuring they meet our pristine quality and aesthetic benchmarks.
- Meticulously interpret order specifications, personalization requests, and brand presentation guidelines to ensure every gift is a perfect match for the customer's vision.
- Serve as the ultimate guardian of our brand's aesthetic, ensuring the artful arrangement, wrapping, ribbon-tying, and overall presentation of each gift is flawless and delivers a "wow" experience.
- Execute a final, multi-point verification of packed gift boxes against customer invoices, confirming item accuracy, quantity, personalization details, and inclusion of any special inserts or gift messages.
- Assess the structural integrity and durability of final gift packaging, ensuring it meets both our internal standards for presentation upon arrival and all carrier requirements for safe transit.
- Identify, document, and meticulously track product defects, cosmetic imperfections, and assembly errors using our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Isolate and flag any non-conforming products or gift assemblies, initiating the rework or replacement process according to established protocols to prevent substandard items from reaching customers.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate digital logs of all inspections, documenting pass/fail rates and any deviations, and generating daily quality assurance reports for team leadership.
- Perform random and scheduled audits of finished gift inventory to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champion a "quality-first" culture by providing constructive, real-time feedback to the gift assembly and personalization teams.
- Calibrate and maintain any inspection tools and equipment to ensure consistent and accurate quality assessments.
- Verify the quality and accuracy of incoming materials and supplies from vendors, flagging any shipments that do not meet our procurement specifications.
- Develop and update a comprehensive library of quality standards, visual aids, and inspection checklists for new and existing products.
- Evaluate the quality of personalized elements, such as engraving, embroidery, or printing, for clarity, spelling, placement, and overall finish.
Secondary Functions
- Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to identify trends in product defects or assembly errors.
- Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by suggesting improvements to quality data collection and reporting.
