  • Weigh and measure packages, enter package dimensions and weights into the WMS or shipping portal, and verify postage and carrier rate selections to control shipping costs and avoid surcharges.
  • Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy targets, prioritizing orders based on shipping deadlines (e.g., same-day, next-day) and high-priority or expedited requests during peak periods.
  • Stage packed orders on designated shipment pallets or staging areas in carrier-specific configurations and follow carrier pickup schedules and staging requirements for efficient carrier handoff.

  • Coordinate with merchandising, inventory, and customer service teams to clarify order discrepancies, substitutions, or out-of-stock situations and execute approved alternate packing or substitution procedures.
  • Execute quality control checks on randomly sampled packed orders to ensure adherence to packing checklists, brand presentation standards, and packaging integrity before shipment.
  • Communicate clearly with team leads about production bottlenecks, unusual product handling requirements, or process improvement ideas to increase throughput and reduce packing errors.
  • Accurately handle cashless gift card activation or inclusion, ensuring any included coupons or promotional inserts comply with current campaigns and are placed in the appropriate order packages.
