Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicle glass to accurately determine whether a repair or a full replacement is the appropriate and safest course of action.
Execute high-quality windshield, side window, and rear glass replacements on a diverse range of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to OEM and industry safety standards.
Skillfully repair rock chips, stars, and minor cracks in windshields using advanced resin injection systems to restore structural integrity and optical clarity for the driver.
Carefully and thoroughly remove all broken glass shards, debris, and old urethane adhesive from the vehicle's frame without causing damage to the paint, dashboard, or interior upholstery.
Select the correct glass part and adhesive system from inventory based on the vehicle's specific features, such as rain sensors, acoustic interlayers, heads-up displays (HUD), and antennas.
Meticulously prepare the vehicle's pinchweld and the new glass by applying specified primers and activators to ensure a strong, permanent, and leak-proof bond.
Utilize a variety of specialized hand and power tools, including cold knives, extractors, and wire-out systems, for the safe and efficient removal of bonded automotive glass.
Apply urethane adhesive with a high degree of precision and consistency to create a perfect, factory-quality seal that meets or exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Install new glass panels, ensuring perfect alignment, fit, and function of all associated components such as moldings, clips, mirrors, and trim pieces.
