Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Continuously monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and political developments across key international markets to identify potential risks, opportunities, and impacts on the organization's operations and strategic interests.
- Conduct in-depth, forward-looking research and analysis on a wide range of global policy issues, including but not limited to international trade, digital economy, sustainability, data privacy, and human rights.
- Prepare and disseminate high-quality, concise, and timely intelligence reports, policy briefs, and executive summaries for senior leadership and other internal stakeholders.
- Develop and articulate clear and persuasive policy positions, advocacy materials, and public consultation responses that advance the organization's interests.
- Provide expert strategic advice to business units and leadership on navigating complex geopolitical and policy landscapes, helping to inform market entry, product development, and investment decisions.
- Track and analyze the policy positions and activities of key external stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, industry associations, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Support the development and execution of comprehensive government affairs and public policy advocacy campaigns in priority countries.
- Build and maintain a strong internal network to ensure alignment on policy issues and facilitate cross-functional collaboration on response strategies.
- Represent the organization in external forums, including trade association meetings, policy workshops, and conferences, to gather intelligence and advocate for the organization's positions.
- Synthesize complex information from diverse sources (e.g., legislation, academic papers, news, expert networks) into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
