Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively monitor, research, and analyze global policy and legislative developments, regulatory changes, and political trends relevant to the organization's core mission and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and articulate the organization's official policy positions, ensuring they are evidence-based, coherent, and aligned with our long-term vision.
  • Draft high-quality, persuasive policy briefs, white papers, consultation responses, official statements, and internal briefings for senior leadership and external audiences.
  • Design and execute comprehensive, multi-faceted advocacy campaigns aimed at influencing policymakers, multilateral organizations (e.g., UN, OECD, WTO), and other key decision-makers.
  • Cultivate and maintain a robust network of relationships with government officials, legislative staff, diplomats, civil society organizations, industry associations, and academic experts.
  • Represent the organization in high-level policy forums, international conferences, coalition meetings, and direct lobbying engagements to effectively communicate our positions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of emerging international treaties, standards, and regulations to assess their potential impact on the organization's operations and strategic objectives.
  • Provide strategic counsel and timely intelligence to internal teams and senior leadership on geopolitical risks and policy-related opportunities.
  • Lead the formation and management of strategic coalitions and partnerships with like-minded organizations to amplify advocacy efforts and achieve shared policy goals.
  • Translate complex policy and legal language into clear, accessible, and actionable information for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead policy-related events, such as roundtables, panel discussions, and webinars, to shape public discourse and build consensus around key issues.
  • Develop advocacy materials, including talking points, fact sheets, presentations, and digital content, to support engagement with policymakers and the public.
  • Work closely with the communications team to ensure that policy messaging is integrated consistently across all external-facing platforms and campaigns.
  • Manage projects related to policy research and analysis, including defining scope, setting timelines, and coordinating with internal and external contributors.
  • Track and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of advocacy initiatives, providing regular reports and adapting strategies as needed to maximize influence.
  • Prepare senior executives for meetings with government officials and other influential figures by providing detailed briefings and strategic recommendations.
  • Identify and map key stakeholders and decision-makers within target governments and international bodies to inform and guide engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process by providing expert insight on the global policy landscape.

  • Ensure all lobbying and advocacy activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable national and international laws and ethical standards.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
