Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Proactively engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to build rapport and accurately assess their golfing needs, playing style, and performance goals.
- Conduct comprehensive and precise club fittings for all equipment categories (drivers, fairway woods, irons, wedges, putters) using launch monitor technology like TrackMan, GCQuad, or Foresight.
- Translate launch monitor data and swing analysis into actionable equipment recommendations, clearly explaining the benefits of specific club heads, shafts, grips, and specifications.
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and demonstrations for a wide range of golf equipment from leading brands, staying current with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial consultation to closing the sale and ensuring a seamless transaction at the point-of-sale system.
- Drive sales to consistently meet and exceed individual and team-based performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Build and maintain a personal client book, fostering long-term relationships through proactive follow-up, post-sale support, and personalized communication.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of special orders and custom club builds, ensuring accuracy in specifications, timely communication with vendors, and customer satisfaction upon delivery.
- Maintain a visually appealing and organized sales floor by assisting with merchandising, restocking inventory, and ensuring all product displays are clean and professional.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns with a high level of professionalism and problem-solving, aiming for first-contact resolution.
- Educate customers on the benefits of our fitting process and the value of custom-built equipment to maximize their investment and on-course performance.
- Participate actively in all required product training sessions, vendor clinics, and staff meetings to continuously enhance your expertise.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle cash and credit card transactions with integrity.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, participating in cycle counts, and communicating product needs to the management team.
- Uphold all company policies and operational standards, including those for loss prevention and safety, to ensure a secure environment for customers and staff.
Secondary Functions
- Support in-store events, demo days, and promotions to drive traffic and create an engaging customer experience.
- Collaborate with the club repair department to ensure custom orders are built to exact specifications and completed within the promised timeframe.
