Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Actively assist Head Golf Professionals and Instructors in delivering high-quality private lessons and group clinics by providing secondary coaching and reinforcing key concepts.
- Prepare and manage the teaching environment, including setting up, breaking down, and maintaining training stations on the driving range, short game areas, and putting greens.
- Operate and provide initial data interpretation from cutting-edge golf technology, such as TrackMan, Foresight GCQuad launch monitors, and V1 Pro video analysis software.
- Conduct introductory golf programs, junior golf camps, and beginner clinics, creating a fun, welcoming, and informative atmosphere for new players.
- Provide personalized feedback and drills to students on fundamental aspects of the game, including grip, posture, alignment, and basic swing mechanics, under the supervision of a senior instructor.
- Film students' golf swings from proper angles for video analysis and assist in the playback and initial review process with the lead coach.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all instructional programs, clinics, and school offerings to effectively communicate and promote them to members and guests.
- Ensure the entire practice facility is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies like range balls, tees, and training aids, presenting a professional image at all times.
- Document detailed notes on player progress, lesson plans, and future recommendations within the club's designated CRM or player development software.
- Foster positive relationships with students, learning their names and specific golf goals to create a personalized and encouraging learning journey.
- Assist in the execution of player development initiatives and member-retention programs designed to increase engagement and participation in golf activities.
- Demonstrate proper golf techniques and etiquette to players of all ages, serving as a role model for the sport.
- Keep abreast of the latest coaching methodologies, golf equipment trends, and industry best practices to continually enhance personal and professional knowledge.
Secondary Functions
- Manage the lesson and clinic booking schedule using tee sheet management software, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely communication with clients regarding appointments and changes.
- Provide support for Pro Shop operations, including greeting members, answering phone calls, processing transactions for merchandise and services, and maintaining visual standards.
- Assist in the organization, setup, and execution of club tournaments, corporate outings, and special golf events, including on-course contests and scoring.
- Perform basic club maintenance services for members, such as re-gripping clubs and making minor repairs, ensuring a quick and quality turnaround.
- Support ad-hoc requests for member engagement, such as playing with various groups to build rapport and promote the instructional program.
- Contribute to the creation of instructional content for club newsletters, social media, or digital platforms under the direction of the marketing or instruction teams.
- Collaborate with the broader golf operations team to ensure a seamless and integrated experience for every member and guest from arrival to departure.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Proficient understanding of golf swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and short game fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with modern golf instruction technology, including launch monitors (TrackMan, Foresight) and video analysis software (V1 Pro).
- Competency with golf operations software, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and tee sheet/booking applications (e.g., ForeTees, Jonas).
- Foundational knowledge of golf club fitting principles and experience with basic club repair and re-gripping techniques.
- PGA/LPGA of America Associate in good standing or actively working towards membership is highly desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification is a strong asset.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range:
