Primary Functions

- Drive data quality improvement initiatives by establishing data quality metrics, rules, and thresholds, and implementing monitoring processes to track and report on the health of key data assets.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data issue resolution, from identification and logging to root cause analysis and remediation, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Map and document critical data lineage, tracing data flows from its source systems through transformation to its points of consumption to ensure transparency and trust.
- Serve as a key advisor to business and technology partners on data governance best practices, providing expert guidance on projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with governance policies.
- Ensure the organization's adherence to data-related regulatory and compliance requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, by translating legal requirements into actionable policies.
- Design and deliver engaging training and communication programs to foster data literacy and promote a culture of accountability for data quality and protection across the organization.
- Manage the enterprise-wide data stewardship program, providing ongoing support, training, and a collaborative community for business-line data stewards.
- Conduct thorough data domain assessments to identify governance gaps, understand data usage patterns, and measure the maturity of data management practices within various business units.
