Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively build and nurture strong, long-lasting professional relationships with a dedicated portfolio of clients.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact, handling all incoming client communications, queries, and requests with professionalism and timeliness.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, business objectives, and industry challenges to position our solutions effectively.
  • Learn to articulate the company’s value proposition clearly and compellingly, conducting product demonstrations and presentations for clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your existing client base, focusing on up-selling and cross-selling our products and services.
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding individual and team-based sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key account stakeholders, decision-makers, and executive sponsors.
  • Master the company's product suite and stay updated on new features and industry trends to provide expert advice.
  • Onboard new clients smoothly, ensuring they are set up for success and understand how to get the most value from our partnership.
  • Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with clients to discuss their progress, report on key metrics, and strategize for future growth.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and renewals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company goals.
  • Create and manage detailed account plans for each client, outlining strategies for retention and expansion.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, such as sales results and quarterly revenue forecasts, reporting on them to the leadership team.
  • Address and resolve challenging client requests or issues, escalating them to senior team members when necessary while maintaining ownership of the resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handover of new accounts and a unified client experience.

Secondary Functions

  • Meticulously maintain and update all client information, activities, and communication logs within the company’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Assist in the creation of compelling sales proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as marketing, product, and support teams to ensure client feedback is heard and their needs are met effectively.
  • Gather client feedback on products and services to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the company.
  • Support senior account managers with administrative tasks, research, and preparation for high-stakes client meetings.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent the company and build professional connections.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to identify potential threats and opportunities for your accounts.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • CRM Software Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems for managing client data and sales pipelines.
  • MS Office Suite Mastery: Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for creating presentations, reports, and analyzing data.
  • Sales & Data Reporting: Ability to understand and report on key sales metrics, track performance against targets, and provide clear account status updates.
  • Presentation & Demonstration Skills: The ability to confidently present information and demonstrate product features to individuals and small groups, both in-person and virtually.
  • Basic Project Management: Understanding how to manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables for multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range: 0 - 2 years. This role is designed for recent graduates or individuals in the early stages of their careers.
