Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive visual audits of a client's existing brand materials, marketing collateral, and digital presence to identify inconsistencies, strategic gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative workshops to deeply understand client business goals, target audience, competitive landscape, and brand aspirations.
  • Develop and present high-level strategic recommendations for complete visual identity systems, including logo design, color theory application, typography hierarchies, and imagery guidelines.
  • Design and create visionary conceptual mockups and interactive prototypes for key brand touchpoints, such as websites, mobile applications, environmental graphics, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Formulate, author, and implement comprehensive brand style guides and design system documentation to ensure consistent, scalable, and correct application of the visual identity by all stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance and clear creative direction to clients' in-house design teams or their external agencies to ensure the faithful and high-quality execution of the proposed visual strategy.
  • Consult on the visual direction of marketing and advertising campaigns, ensuring all creative outputs are on-brand, resonate with the target demographic, and are optimized for performance.
  • Advise executive leadership on the selection and implementation of design tools, workflow software, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems to improve creative team efficiency and output.
  • Create and deliver compelling, persuasive presentations to senior leadership and C-suite executives to articulate complex design strategies, showcase creative concepts, and secure crucial buy-in.
  • Translate complex data, research findings, and abstract information into clear, compelling, and easily digestible infographics, charts, and dynamic data visualizations.
  • Research and analyze emerging industry trends, competitor branding initiatives, and new design technologies to provide clients with forward-thinking and innovative visual solutions.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of design consulting projects, from initial scoping and strategic planning through to final execution and post-launch analysis, ensuring projects are on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI consultants, product managers, and development teams to ensure a cohesive and intuitive user experience that is seamlessly aligned with the overarching brand strategy.
  • Act as the primary strategic point of contact for clients on all matters related to graphic design and visual branding, building strong, long-term advisory relationships based on trust and results.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of visual campaigns and brand initiatives by analyzing key performance indicators and user feedback, using the data to inform future iterations and strategic pivots.
  • Ensure all design work is accessible and inclusive, adhering to WCAG and other relevant standards to provide an equitable and superior experience for all users.
  • Develop and manage project proposals, detailed scopes of work (SOWs), and consulting agreements for new and existing client engagements.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level proficiency in the core Adobe Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong capabilities in modern UI/UX design and prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • A deep, academic-level understanding of color theory, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Proven experience with print production processes, pre-press, and preparing technically accurate files for printing.
  • Knowledge of creating, managing, and governing Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and design systems.
  • Mastery of creating compelling and visually stunning presentations using tools like PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and animation principles, with some experience in software like After Effects being a strong advantage.
  • Foundational understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS) to better inform digital design solutions and collaborate with developers.
