Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive, long-term corporate sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies that align with core business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct thorough greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and carbon footprint analyses across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, utilizing established protocols like the GHG Protocol.
  • Advise clients on climate-related risks and opportunities, applying frameworks such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to enhance business resilience.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality sustainability and ESG reports in accordance with global standards like GRI, SASB, and the upcoming CSRD.
  • Perform detailed Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for products, services, or entire operations to identify environmental hotspots from raw material extraction to end-of-life.
  • Formulate and guide the implementation of strategies for waste reduction, resource efficiency, and the transition to a circular economy model.
  • Provide expert guidance on renewable energy procurement, energy efficiency projects, and water stewardship programs to minimize resource consumption and operational costs.
  • Ensure and verify organizational compliance with local, national, and international environmental laws, regulations, and standards through rigorous audits and assessments.
  • Design and facilitate impactful stakeholder engagement sessions, including workshops with employees, suppliers, investors, and community groups, to build consensus and drive action.
  • Guide clients through the process of obtaining green building certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, or WELL, from initial assessment to final documentation.
  • Analyze and de-risk complex global supply chains by evaluating supplier sustainability performance and recommending strategies for improvement and collaboration.
  • Develop and deliver customized training programs and educational materials to build sustainability literacy and capacity across all levels of a client's organization.
  • Support clients in setting ambitious, credible, and science-based targets (SBTs) for emissions reduction and getting them validated by the SBTi.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and benchmarking to analyze competitor performance, identify industry best practices, and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Manage sustainability projects from conception to completion, defining scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables while coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of sustainability initiatives, building business cases by conducting cost-benefit analyses and calculating the return on investment (ROI).

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • ESG Reporting & Frameworks: Deep expertise in applying standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and familiarity with emerging regulations like the EU's CSRD.
  • Carbon Accounting: Proficiency with the GHG Protocol for calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and experience with carbon management software.
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Knowledge of LCA methodologies (ISO 14040/14044) and practical experience with software like SimaPro or GaBi.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, model environmental scenarios, and visualize data using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Environmental Science Fundamentals: Solid understanding of climate science, ecology, resource management, and pollution control principles.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
