Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects, evaluating site suitability, resource availability (solar irradiation, wind speeds), and grid connectivity.
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models to assess the economic viability of green energy investments, including IRR, LCOE, and payback period calculations.
  • Analyze and interpret complex energy data to identify trends, forecast energy consumption, and recommend energy efficiency and conservation measures.
  • Lead the process of securing permits, licenses, and approvals from local, state, and federal regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with environmental laws.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate renewable energy technologies (e.g., photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, battery storage systems) based on project-specific requirements and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and submit compelling grant applications, proposals, and responses to RFPs to secure funding and incentives for renewable energy initiatives.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including investors, landowners, utility companies, government agencies, and community groups.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial development and engineering design through construction, commissioning, and operation.
  • Perform detailed carbon footprint assessments and life cycle analyses to quantify the environmental benefits of projects and support corporate sustainability reporting.
  • Stay current with evolving green energy policies, market trends, technological advancements, and incentive programs to provide strategic advice to leadership.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key project agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), land lease agreements, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential project acquisitions or partnerships, assessing technical, financial, and regulatory risks.
  • Develop and implement robust monitoring systems to track the performance of operational assets, ensuring they meet projected output and efficiency targets.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, executive summaries, and presentations to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
