Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design, build, and launch A/B, multivariate, and personalization experiments across our web and mobile platforms using tools like Optimizely, VWO, or internal systems.
- Own the technical implementation of our web and product analytics, ensuring accurate and comprehensive event tracking using tools like Google Tag Manager and Segment.
- Develop and maintain complex marketing automation workflows and lifecycle campaigns (email, push notifications, in-app messages) in platforms such as Braze, Customer.io, or HubSpot.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to extract data, segment users, and perform in-depth analyses on user behavior to uncover actionable growth insights.
- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and democratize data access for the growth team.
- Manage and troubleshoot the marketing technology stack, including API integrations between various platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers to instrument new product features, ensuring that all necessary data points are captured for future growth analysis and experimentation.
- Act as the technical point of contact for the marketing team, debugging issues with tracking pixels, campaign attribution, and data discrepancies.
- Implement technical SEO recommendations, including schema markup, site speed optimizations, and log file analysis, to improve organic search performance.
- Develop and code responsive landing pages for marketing campaigns, focusing on rapid iteration, performance, and conversion rate optimization.
- Conduct deep-dive data analyses to identify trends, cohorts, and patterns in the user lifecycle, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Marketers to formulate data-driven hypotheses and define clear success metrics for growth experiments.
- Manage the integrity and enrichment of user data within our Customer Data Platform (CDP), creating sophisticated audience segments for targeted campaigns.
- Automate repetitive marketing and data-related tasks using scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to improve team efficiency and scalability.
- Perform rigorous quality assurance on all tracking implementations and experiments before launch to ensure data accuracy and a flawless user experience.
- Monitor the performance and health of the entire growth stack, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues before they impact business metrics.
- Document all technical processes, tracking plans, and experimentation frameworks to create a robust knowledge base for the organization.
- Support paid acquisition channels by implementing and verifying conversion tracking, optimizing data feeds, and exploring API-based automation opportunities.
- Ensure all marketing technology and data practices are compliant with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Analyze experiment results with statistical rigor, calculating significance and providing clear, unbiased reports on the impact of each test.
- Translate business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into technical specifications for tracking, tooling, and data infrastructure.
