Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and consultations for new and existing members to evaluate their health, physical condition, and fitness objectives.
- Design, develop, and implement safe, effective, and highly personalized exercise programs tailored to individual client needs, goals, and limitations.
- Provide one-on-one personal training sessions, demonstrating proper form and technique for a wide range of exercises to maximize results and prevent injury.

- Proactively engage with members on the gym floor to provide encouragement, answer questions, and offer impromptu fitness advice and support.

- Promote and sell personal training packages, group class passes, and other fitness services to help members invest in their health and achieve their goals.
- Stay current with the latest fitness industry trends, research, exercise techniques, and nutritional science to provide state-of-the-art coaching.
- Handle member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive member experience.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including health history, fitness assessments, workout logs, and session schedules.

- Ensure all members are adhering to gym policies and procedures to maintain a respectful and safe environment for everyone.
- Instruct members on how to safely and effectively operate all types of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment.

Secondary Functions
- Assist in planning and promoting gym events, open houses, and fitness workshops to attract new prospects and engage the community.
- Contribute to the gym's social media channels by creating and appearing in content such as workout demonstrations, fitness tips, or member success stories.
- Provide front desk support during peak or off-peak hours as needed, including member check-ins, answering phones, and handling general inquiries.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification: Active certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NCSA).
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification: Current and valid certification is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Human Anatomy & Kinesiology: Deep understanding of how the body moves and functions.
- Exercise Program Design: Proven ability to create customized, progressive, and goal-oriented workout plans.
