Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, design, and skillfully execute a diverse range of high-quality handcrafted products, ensuring each piece aligns with our brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
  • Manage the entire production lifecycle, from initial ideation and material sourcing to final finishing and meticulous quality assurance checks.
  • Develop and prototype new product designs and collections, collaborating with the creative team to innovate while maintaining brand cohesion.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of specialized tools and equipment essential to the crafting process, ensuring a safe and efficient workshop.
  • Meticulously manage inventory of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, forecasting needs to prevent production delays.
  • Source and vet new suppliers for high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective raw materials, building strong vendor relationships.
  • Lead and facilitate engaging hands-on workshops and classes for various skill levels, effectively demonstrating techniques and fostering a creative, supportive learning environment.
  • Prepare all necessary materials, lesson plans, and sample projects for public and private workshop sessions.
  • Fulfill custom orders and commissions with precision, communicating effectively with clients to ensure their vision is realized to the highest standard.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous quality control protocols at every stage of production to guarantee consistency and excellence across all products.
  • Photograph finished products for e-commerce listings and marketing materials, ensuring high-quality images that accurately represent the items.
  • Package and prepare finished products for shipping, ensuring items are secure and presented beautifully to enhance the customer unboxing experience.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current market trends, new techniques, and emerging materials within the handicraft and artisan goods sector.
  • Document production processes, techniques, and design specifications to create a standardized guide for potential team expansion and training.
  • Assist in setting up and managing displays for craft fairs, markets, and in-store retail environments to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Accurately track production time, material costs, and labor for each product to assist in pricing strategy and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team by providing behind-the-scenes content and insights into the crafting process for social media and blog posts.
  • Uphold and champion a clean, organized, and safe studio environment at all times, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and engaging product storytelling to customers in a retail or market setting, driving sales and building brand loyalty.
