  • Operate multi-head industrial embroidery machines, including the complete process of loading digital design files, hooping hats correctly for distortion-free results, and selecting appropriate thread colors.
  • Skillfully run various industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, serger, coverstitch) to assemble hat components like panels, brims, and sweatbands with consistent and durable stitching.
  • Manage the precise operation of heat press equipment to apply vinyl graphics, custom patches, or other embellishments, ensuring correct temperature, pressure, and dwell time for a permanent bond.
  • Conduct rigorous and consistent in-process quality control checks on every unit, meticulously inspecting for any defects in stitching, placement, color accuracy, or overall construction.
  • Read, interpret, and execute detailed instructions from work orders and production sheets, understanding all specifications for design, materials, and quantities required.
  • Perform routine daily and weekly preventative maintenance on all operated machinery, such as cleaning, oiling, and replacing consumable parts like needles and bobbins to prevent downtime.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve common machine malfunctions like thread breaks, needle strikes, or tension issues to maintain a smooth and efficient production flow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized workstation, ensuring all tools, materials, and finished goods are properly staged and stored according to company protocols.
  • Accurately track and document personal production numbers, including units completed, scrap rates, and any downtime, contributing to the team's overall performance metrics.
  • Prepare and trim finished products, removing excess backing material, loose threads, and performing final steaming or shaping to ensure a retail-ready appearance.
  • Monitor the inventory of materials at your station, such as blank hats, thread cones, and backing, and proactively communicate replenishment needs to the floor supervisor.
