Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Conduct comprehensive inspections of incoming hatching eggs, evaluating shell quality, cleanliness, size, and uniformity to ensure they meet established standards for setting.

Collect, prepare, and ship biological and environmental samples (e.g., fluff, swabs, tissues) to designated laboratories for microbiological analysis and disease surveillance.
Maintain meticulous, accurate, and timely records for all inspection activities, hatch data, environmental monitoring, and compliance checks in accordance with company and regulatory mandates.

Serve as a key point of contact during third-party audits and regulatory inspections (e.g., NPIP, CFIA, customer audits), providing documentation and demonstrating compliant processes.
Regularly review and provide feedback on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality, biosecurity, and animal welfare to promote continuous improvement.
