Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive health and wellness programs, classes, and workshops on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and chronic disease prevention.

  • Provide personalized fitness and nutrition plans based on individual needs, goals, and health history, ensuring alignment with evidence-based guidelines.
  • Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in health, fitness, and wellness to ensure program content is accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Collaborate with HR departments, management, and other stakeholders to integrate wellness initiatives into the broader organizational culture and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records of participant interactions, progress, and program outcomes, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations like HIPAA.
  • Coordinate and promote wellness events, such as health fairs, fitness challenges, and guest speaker seminars, to maximize employee or community engagement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs through data collection, surveys, and feedback analysis, preparing detailed reports on participation, satisfaction, and ROI.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all health and wellness-related inquiries within the organization or community.
  • Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of different audiences, including varying ages, cultural backgrounds, and health literacy levels.
  • Instruct participants on the proper and safe use of fitness equipment, conducting orientations and providing ongoing supervision in a gym or fitness center setting.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-effective resources for delivering high-quality wellness services.
