Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Safely and efficiently load and unload heavy materials, equipment, and finished products from trucks, shipping containers, and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
Manually move freight, stock, or other materials around the worksite, warehouse, or facility, which may involve lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, and jackhammers, while adhering to all safety protocols.
Perform rigorous site cleanup duties, including sweeping, removing debris, collecting and disposing of rubble, trash, and hazardous materials in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Assist skilled craft workers, such as carpenters, masons, and welders, by fetching tools, holding materials, and performing other preparatory tasks as directed.
Prepare and maintain construction sites by digging trenches, backfilling holes, erecting scaffolding, and setting up temporary fencing or barricades.
Operate heavy machinery and compact construction equipment, such as skid-steers, compactors, and forklifts, under direct supervision and after receiving proper certification.
Mix, pour, spread, and level construction materials like concrete, mortar, and asphalt using hand tools to ensure a smooth and durable finish.
Perform basic demolition tasks, carefully dismantling structures, sorting salvaged materials, and clearing the area for new construction.
Follow detailed verbal and written instructions from supervisors to complete tasks correctly and efficiently within project timelines.
