Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform comprehensive scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various helicopter models in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer's maintenance manuals.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex malfunctions in helicopter systems including powerplants, transmissions, rotor systems, landing gear, and flight controls using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Conduct detailed 50-hour, 100-hour, and annual inspections, accurately identifying and documenting any discrepancies or airworthiness concerns.
Execute the removal, repair, and installation of major components such as engines, main rotor heads, tail rotor assemblies, and gearboxes.
Perform dynamic component balancing on main and tail rotor systems using specialized electronic analysis equipment to ensure a smooth, vibration-free flight.
Read, interpret, and precisely apply technical data from blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins to perform all assigned maintenance tasks.
Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures, including sheet metal, composite, and fiberglass components, ensuring the structural integrity of the airframe.
Accurately complete all necessary maintenance logbook entries and work order documentation in a timely and meticulous manner to ensure a complete and compliant aircraft history.
Operate and maintain all ground support equipment, including tugs, jacks, and specialized tooling, ensuring they are in safe, working condition.
Execute Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and manufacturer's Service Bulletins (SBs), ensuring mandatory compliance is documented and completed within the specified timeframe.
Troubleshoot and rectify persistent issues within aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and environmental control systems.
Assist in the diagnostics and repair of basic avionics and electrical system discrepancies.
Perform rigorous pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is prepared for its next mission and to identify any issues that may have arisen during flight.
Launch and recover aircraft, assisting flight crews with pre-flight preparations and post-flight securing of the helicopter.
