Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently to construct complete helmets according to detailed work instructions and diagrams.
- Perform continuous in-process quality checks on parts and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet strict specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized production equipment with a strong focus on safety and precision.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical assembly documents to guide the manufacturing process.
- Skillfully attach and install various parts, including internal liners, comfort padding, chin straps, retention systems, visors, and decals onto helmet shells.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation by adhering to 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Strive to meet and exceed daily and weekly production targets and quotas without ever compromising the quality of the finished product.
- Proactively identify and immediately report any product defects, component flaws, equipment malfunctions, or process discrepancies to the line lead or supervisor.
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines without exception, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete all required production logs and quality control documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues, brainstorm solutions, and improve production processes.
- Calibrate and perform minor adjustments to machinery and equipment as needed to maintain peak operational efficiency and quality output.
- Package finished helmets according to specific customer and company guidelines, ensuring they are properly protected for shipping and distribution.
- Conduct final visual and functional inspections of completed helmets to guarantee they are free from any cosmetic or structural flaws before final sign-off.
- Rotate through different workstations and perform various tasks on the assembly line as dictated by production schedules and team needs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) events and initiatives by providing valuable feedback for enhancing efficiency and product quality.
- Manage and replenish the inventory of components, fasteners, and materials at your workstation to prevent production stoppages.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that component dimensions are within tolerance.
- Log production data, scrap rates, and downtime accurately into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or other digital tracking software.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new assembly team members by demonstrating proper techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Secondary Functions
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and stock-taking activities within the production and warehouse areas.
- Participate actively in daily team huddles and shift meetings to discuss production goals, safety topics, and process improvements.
- Provide support to the shipping and receiving department with packing or unpacking materials as needed during peak operational periods.

- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and the proper handling of materials.
- Familiarity with using measurement instruments like calipers and gauges to ensure product specifications are met.
