Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Accurately interpret complex work orders and production sheets to understand specific hooping instructions, design placement, and garment requirements.
- Select the appropriate size and type of hoop for each unique job, considering the garment's fabric, size, and the specific embroidery design.
- Skillfully apply and secure the correct type and weight of backing (stabilizer) to garments before hooping to prevent puckering and ensure design integrity.
- Precisely align garments within the embroidery hoop, using alignment tools and placement guides to guarantee consistent and accurate design positioning across all items in an order.
- Operate manual and semi-automatic hooping systems (such as HoopMaster or similar devices) with speed and proficiency to maintain production flow.
- Conduct thorough pre-production quality checks on all garments, inspecting for manufacturing defects, stains, or inconsistencies before they enter the embroidery process.
- Manage the staging and organization of garments, ensuring a continuous and orderly flow of work to the embroidery machine operators.
- Collaborate closely with the embroidery machine operators, providing a seamless handoff of properly hooped items and communicating any special instructions or potential issues.
- Master the technique of achieving proper fabric tension within the hoop, which is critical for producing crisp, clean embroidery without distortion or damage.
- Expertly handle a diverse range of materials and apparel types, from delicate performance fabrics and knits to heavy-duty canvas, jackets, and structured hats.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve minor hooping issues on the fly, such as fabric slippage or alignment errors, to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized hooping station, ensuring all tools, hoops, and supplies are readily available and in excellent condition.
- Assist in counting, sorting, and verifying incoming garments against work orders to ensure order accuracy before production begins.
- Support post-production tasks by un-hooping, trimming, folding, and preparing finished embroidered goods for the quality control and shipping departments.
- Monitor inventory levels for all hooping supplies, including various types of backing and topping, and proactively notify a supervisor when stock is low.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the production facility to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of different fabric characteristics and how they react to hooping and embroidery, adjusting techniques to maximize quality.
- Perform routine light cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on hooping equipment to ensure its long-term reliability and optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members, machine operators, and supervisors regarding production status, potential delays, and quality concerns.
- Consistently strive to meet or exceed established daily and weekly production goals for both quantity and quality, contributing to the team's overall success.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency and product quality.
Secondary Functions

Minimum Education:
