Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and feasibility studies for proposed hotel developments, including supply and demand analysis, competitive positioning, and site evaluation.
  • Develop detailed financial projections, pro forma statements, and sophisticated valuation models (e.g., Discounted Cash Flow, IRR) to support investment decisions, acquisitions, and financing.
  • Perform in-depth operational reviews and audits of existing hotel properties to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost containment, and service quality improvement.
  • Author and present high-quality, client-facing reports, including feasibility studies, market analyses, valuation reports, and strategic recommendations, with clear and compelling narratives.
  • Provide expert advisory services on hotel branding and management, including conducting operator selection searches and negotiating complex management or franchise agreements on behalf of owners.
  • Act as an owner's representative, providing strategic asset management oversight to maximize financial returns and protect the owner's interests throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement detailed performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming assets, monitoring progress and holding property management accountable for results.
  • Conduct thorough commercial and financial due diligence for single-asset and portfolio hotel transactions, identifying key risks and opportunities for potential buyers or sellers.
  • Advise clients on optimal capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for renovations, repositioning projects, and property expansions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and business cases to senior executives, investment committees, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and becoming a trusted advisor for all their hospitality-related needs.
  • Analyze and interpret complex market data, including STR reports, to benchmark property performance, identify trends, and formulate actionable strategies.
  • Provide pre-opening and post-opening support for new hotel projects, including budget development, critical path planning, and establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Advise on the highest and best use for land or existing real estate assets, considering hotel, mixed-use, or alternative commercial applications.
  • Lead client workshops and strategic planning sessions to define project goals, align stakeholders, and develop actionable roadmaps for success.
  • Monitor macroeconomic and hospitality industry trends to provide clients with proactive insights and strategic guidance on market shifts and potential impacts.

Secondary Functions

  • Manage multiple consulting engagements simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, including networking, drafting proposals, preparing pitch decks, and attending industry conferences to generate new client leads.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Financial Modeling: Expertise in building complex financial models from scratch, including P&L projections, DCF analysis, and ROI calculations specific to hotel assets.
  • Hotel Valuation: Deep understanding of hotel valuation methodologies, including the income approach, sales comparison approach, and cost approach.
  • Market Feasibility Analysis: Proven ability to conduct comprehensive market and economic feasibility studies for new hotel developments or acquisitions.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Strong proficiency in analyzing hospitality-specific data, particularly STR reports, to derive meaningful insights.
  • Contract Negotiation: Experience reviewing and negotiating hotel management agreements (HMAs), franchise agreements, and technical service agreements.
  • Real Estate Due diligence: Skill in conducting financial, operational, and commercial due diligence for hospitality real estate transactions.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
