Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Perform comprehensive and detailed cleaning of all areas of the residence, including dusting furniture, fixtures, and woodwork; vacuuming carpets and rugs; and mopping hard floors.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchens, including countertops, sinks, appliances (interior and exterior), and cabinet facings, ensuring a hygienic food preparation area.
  • Scrub, disinfect, and descale bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors, restocking toiletries as needed.
  • Manage all aspects of household laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes and linens according to care instructions.
  • Expertly iron and press clothing, bed linens, and tablecloths, ensuring a crisp and well-presented finish.
  • Make beds daily and change linens on a regular schedule or as requested by the principals of the house.
  • Maintain the overall tidiness of the home by organizing common areas, putting away stray items, and ensuring a clutter-free environment.
  • Empty and sanitize all trash and recycling bins throughout the property and transport them to the designated disposal area.
  • Care for and clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors, leaving them streak-free.
  • Monitor and manage household cleaning supplies and amenities, creating and maintaining an inventory list and notifying the employer when items need to be replenished.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks on a rotational basis, such as cleaning behind furniture, washing baseboards, and cleaning light fixtures.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after each use, reporting any malfunctions.

Secondary Functions

  • Run local errands for the household, such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and mailing packages, often requiring a valid driver's license.
  • Provide basic care for household pets, including feeding, providing fresh water, and assisting with walks or letting them out into the yard.
  • Assist with simple meal preparation, which may include washing and chopping vegetables, preparing salads, or following straightforward recipes for family meals.
  • Receive and sign for deliveries, ensuring packages are brought inside and placed in a secure, designated location.
