Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Perform comprehensive and detailed cleaning of all assigned areas, including dusting furniture, fixtures, and woodwork; vacuuming carpets and rugs; and mopping and polishing floors.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and vanities, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and hygienic.
  • Meticulously clean kitchen areas, including wiping down countertops, cleaning sinks, sanitizing appliances (microwaves, ovens, refrigerators), and loading/unloading the dishwasher.
  • Change bed linens, make beds to hotel-quality standards, and manage the rotation of fresh and used linens for all bedrooms.
  • Manage all aspects of laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and properly storing clothing, towels, and other household textiles.
  • Empty and sanitize all trash and recycling receptacles throughout the property, replacing liners as needed.
  • Wash interior windows, glass doors, and mirrors to ensure they are streak-free and clear.
  • Care for delicate surfaces, fine furnishings, and valuable art pieces using appropriate, pre-approved cleaning techniques and materials.
  • Maintain and organize closets, pantries, and storage areas, ensuring they are tidy and items are easy to locate.
  • Restock essential household supplies such as toiletries, paper towels, and cleaning products in their designated locations.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks on a rotating schedule, including shampooing carpets, washing curtains, cleaning baseboards, and scrubbing grout.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory of all cleaning supplies and household necessities, creating and submitting shopping lists for replenishment.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order, cleaning filters, and reporting any malfunctions for repair or replacement.
  • Prepare rooms and common areas for guest arrivals, ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment with all necessary amenities in place.
  • Polish silver, brass, and other metal fixtures to maintain their shine and prevent tarnish.
  • Perform light pet care duties as required, such as cleaning up after pets or refilling food and water bowls.

Secondary Functions

  • Immediately report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, broken items, or pest infestations to the property manager or homeowner for prompt resolution.
  • Assist with special projects such as seasonal decorating, organizing for events, or post-construction clean-up.
  • Provide support for special events or guest visits, including pre-event preparation and post-event cleanup.
  • Water indoor plants and care for floral arrangements to keep them healthy and vibrant.
  • Receive and unpack deliveries, organizing items in their proper storage locations as directed.
  • Run occasional errands as needed, such as trips to the dry cleaner or grocery store for household supplies.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • 2-5+ years of professional housekeeping experience.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience in luxury private residences, 5-star hotels, yachts, or high-end corporate environments is strongly preferred. A stable work history with verifiable references is highly desirable.
