Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform comprehensive and detailed cleaning of all assigned rooms and interior areas, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Execute deep cleaning projects on a rotating schedule, addressing areas such as baseboards, light fixtures, vents, and behind furniture to ensure every corner of the residence is immaculate.
- Meticulously clean and sanitize all bathrooms, polishing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, scrubbing tiles and grout, and replenishing toiletries and linens.
- Maintain the kitchen to a professional standard, including cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, floors, and appliances both inside and out.
- Manage all aspects of household laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and expertly ironing a wide range of garments and linens, from everyday wear to delicate haute couture and fine fabrics.
- Care for and properly store fine linens, towels, and bedding, including making beds daily and performing regular linen changes.
- Organize and maintain the tidiness of wardrobes, closets, and storage areas, ensuring items are logically placed and easily accessible.
- Manage household waste and recycling by emptying bins regularly and adhering to local collection schedules and guidelines.
- Ensure all common areas, such as living rooms, hallways, and entryways, are consistently tidy, presentable, and welcoming.
- Care for valuable and delicate surfaces, such as fine wood, marble, antiques, and artwork, using appropriate and approved cleaning methods and products.
- Polish silver, brass, and other metalwork as needed to maintain its luster and appearance.
- Wash and clean interior windows, sills, and tracks to ensure they are free of streaks and smudges.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain a detailed inventory of all cleaning products, household supplies, and toiletries, creating and presenting a shopping list when items need replenishment.
- Run essential household errands, which may include grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, or posting mail.
- Provide gracious and discreet service to principals and their guests, including offering refreshments and anticipating their needs.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup for social gatherings, family events, or formal dinners held within the residence.
