Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Dive into the full-cycle recruitment process by posting job descriptions, screening incoming resumes, and coordinating interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Actively support our talent acquisition efforts by sourcing potential candidates through various online channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter and other professional networks.
  • Play a key role in creating a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience for new hires by preparing orientation materials and assisting with their first-day activities.
  • Ensure the integrity of our employee data by meticulously maintaining and updating records within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) while upholding strict confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of essential HR documents, including offer letters, employment verification letters, and new hire paperwork packets.
  • Become a champion of our company culture by helping to plan, coordinate, and execute employee engagement events, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as a reliable support system for the broader HR team by providing administrative assistance, such as managing calendars, organizing digital files, and handling departmental correspondence.
  • Contribute meaningfully to high-impact HR projects, which could involve researching and updating company policies, developing training content, or supporting HR compliance audits.
  • Support the employee offboarding process by helping to schedule exit interviews, processing termination paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and procedures, and escalating complex issues to senior team members.
  • Assist the benefits administration team during key periods like open enrollment, helping to communicate changes and answer employee questions.
  • Support the annual performance management cycle by assisting with communications, tracking review completion, and organizing performance data.
  • Conduct research on emerging HR best practices, updates to employment law, and competitor trends to help keep our department innovative and compliant.
  • Help craft and distribute clear and engaging internal communications, such as company-wide announcements, HR newsletters, and policy updates.
  • Bolster our learning and development programs by coordinating training logistics, tracking attendance, and gathering feedback from participants.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze HR metrics to create insightful reports on key performance indicators like recruitment activity, employee turnover, and engagement survey results.
  • Gain invaluable exposure by shadowing various HR professionals, from HR Business Partners to Compensation specialists, to understand the full scope of the HR function.
  • Assist with critical compliance tasks, ensuring our employee files and HR processes adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Represent the company at virtual or in-person university recruiting events and career fairs, helping to build our employer brand and attract emerging talent.
  • Provide administrative oversight for our internship program, including tracking projects, coordinating feedback sessions, and planning intern-specific events.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist in compiling data and creating visuals for ad-hoc HR reports and presentations requested by leadership.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • High proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) such as Workday, BambooHR, or SuccessFactors.
  • Exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, Lever, or similar platforms.
  • Foundational knowledge of key employment laws and HR compliance principles.
  • Exceptional data entry skills with a strong commitment to accuracy and detail.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited university.

Preferred Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field. Junior or Senior year standing is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:
