Primary Functions

  • Proactively identify and analyze emerging market trends, consumer behaviors, and technological advancements to uncover untapped opportunities for innovation.
  • Design and lead dynamic ideation sessions, creative workshops, and design sprints with diverse, cross-functional teams to generate a broad portfolio of new product, service, or business model concepts.
  • Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research, including ethnographic studies, customer interviews, and surveys, to build a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and motivations.
  • Perform comprehensive competitive analysis and landscape mapping to identify white spaces in the market and benchmark against best-in-class innovators.
  • Translate abstract insights and raw data from multiple sources into compelling, clearly defined value propositions and actionable business or product concepts.
  • Develop and articulate detailed business cases for promising ideas, including market sizing, target audience definition, potential revenue models, and strategic fit.
  • Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, storyboards, and concept videos to effectively visualize and communicate new ideas to stakeholders for feedback and iteration.
  • Craft and deliver persuasive presentations and pitches to senior leadership and decision-making bodies to secure buy-in and funding for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure the technical feasibility and user desirability of proposed concepts.
  • Manage and nurture the organization's innovation pipeline, tracking ideas from initial submission through various stages of validation and development.
  • Build and maintain a network of external partners, industry experts, and academic institutions to source external ideas and stay at the forefront of innovation.
  • Establish and manage internal "idea challenge" programs or platforms to foster a culture of innovation and crowdsource ideas from across the company.
  • Define and execute lean validation experiments, such as smoke tests, landing page A/B tests, or pilot programs, to test key assumptions and de-risk new ventures.
  • Synthesize complex information from various sources like market reports, academic papers, and conference notes into clear, concise trend reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as an internal champion for creativity and a "what if" mindset, encouraging curiosity and challenging conventional thinking across all departments.
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies for the systematic evaluation and prioritization of new ideas based on criteria like strategic alignment, potential impact, and required effort.
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling narratives and foundational go-to-market strategies for newly approved concepts.
