Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform high-end, complex creative retouching, color correction, and compositing on a wide range of photographic assets, including model, product, and lifestyle imagery.
- Ensure strict color consistency and accuracy across all images within a project, aligning with product samples and established brand color standards.
- Execute flawless skin retouching, including blemish removal, texture smoothing, and evening skin tones while meticulously maintaining a natural and authentic appearance.
- Create precise clipping paths, masks, and silhouetting for product images to ensure clean isolation for use on various digital and print backgrounds.
- Interpret and apply creative direction from Art Directors, Photographers, and Stylists to achieve the desired mood, tone, and overall aesthetic for each project.
- Manage and organize a high volume of digital image files using a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring proper naming conventions, metadata tagging, and file archiving.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on all final images, scrutinizing for technical flaws, inconsistencies, and any deviation from brand guidelines before delivery.
- Masterfully manipulate and composite multiple images, seamlessly merging elements to create a single, believable, and visually stunning final photograph.
- Adjust and balance lighting, contrast, exposure, and sharpness to enhance the overall quality and impact of the image, drawing the viewer's eye to key focal points.
- Handle advanced environmental retouching, including background extensions, object removal or addition, and general clean-up to perfect the image composition.
- Process RAW image files from photo shoots, making initial global adjustments in preparation for the detailed retouching phase.
- Prepare and format final images for a variety of outputs, optimizing resolution, file size, and color profiles for web, social media, print, and large-format displays.
- Maintain a consistent visual narrative and brand aesthetic across all retouched assets for a given campaign, season, or product launch.
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment without compromising on the quality of the final output.
- Expertly retouch still-life, flat-lay, and on-model e-commerce imagery, ensuring the product is represented accurately and appealingly.
