Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-channel inbound marketing strategies from the ground up to drive brand awareness, generate high-quality leads, and nurture them through the sales funnel.
  • Manage the full content lifecycle, including brainstorming, planning a detailed content calendar, and coordinating with writers and designers to produce engaging assets like blog posts, ebooks, whitepapers, and case studies.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify new content opportunities and ensure our digital properties are optimized to capture valuable search traffic.
  • Implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices across our website and blog to consistently improve organic search rankings and visibility for target terms.
  • Design, build, and meticulously manage sophisticated lead nurturing workflows and email drip campaigns within our marketing automation platform to guide prospects toward conversion.
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of our marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot), ensuring data integrity, proper list segmentation, and effective campaign execution.
  • Create, manage, and continuously optimize high-converting landing pages and calls-to-action (CTAs) to maximize lead capture from our marketing campaigns.
  • Spearhead the company's blog strategy, taking full ownership of the editorial calendar, author coordination, and performance tracking to establish our voice as an industry leader.
  • Oversee and grow our social media presence across key platforms (like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), developing a strategy that engages our community and drives traffic back to our core web properties.
  • Analyze marketing and sales data to develop deep insights into campaign performance, lead quality, and customer behavior, translating those findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless lead handoff process, create sales enablement content, and maintain strong alignment on lead scoring and qualification criteria.
  • Develop, document, and regularly refine our ideal customer profiles and buyer personas based on market research, sales feedback, and customer data.
  • Plan, promote, and execute engaging webinar programs and virtual events, managing everything from topic selection and speaker coordination to post-event follow-up.
  • Manage the creation of premium, gated content assets designed for lead generation, overseeing the entire production process from initial concept to final design and promotion.
  • Monitor, analyze, and deliver detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, lead-to-customer conversion rates, and overall campaign ROI to key stakeholders.
  • Systematically implement A/B testing and other conversion rate optimization (CRO) tactics on emails, landing pages, and web forms to constantly improve performance.
  • Manage all B2B marketing email communications, including promotional sends, newsletters, and triggered campaigns, ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations.
  • Stay at the forefront of inbound marketing, SEO, and content marketing trends, tools, and best practices, acting as the team's subject matter expert.
  • Champion the voice of the customer throughout the organization by using insights from content engagement and lead behavior to inform product and service development.
  • Coordinate effectively with external freelancers, creative agencies, and technology vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Manage the technical aspects of our Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress, including posting content, updating pages, and ensuring plugins and integrations are functioning correctly.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated strategies for database list segmentation to ensure all communications are highly targeted, personalized, and relevant to the recipient.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the broader marketing team with persuasive copywriting for various initiatives, including ad campaigns, website pages, and event materials.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and tactical execution of company participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Assist in managing the overall inbound marketing budget, tracking expenses, and calculating the return on investment for specific campaigns and channels.
  • Participate in user interviews and market research projects to gather first-hand customer insights that can fuel new content and campaign ideas.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Marketing Automation Proficiency: Deep, hands-on experience with platforms like HubSpot (preferred), Marketo, or Pardot, including workflow building, email marketing, and reporting.
  • SEO & SEM Tools: Practical knowledge of tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Google Search Console for keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Analytics Platforms: Strong ability to navigate and derive insights from Google Analytics, with a firm grasp of metrics like traffic sources, user behavior, and conversion goals.
  • CMS Management: Experience working within Content Management Systems like WordPress, including posting, formatting, and basic site maintenance.
  • Content Creation & Editing: Demonstrable skill in writing and editing long-form content (blogs, ebooks) and short-form copy (social posts, emails, CTAs) that is clear, compelling, and on-brand.
  • Paid Media Knowledge: Foundational understanding of managing paid search (Google Ads) and paid social (LinkedIn Ads) campaigns to supplement organic efforts.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
