Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct regular, thorough foot and vehicle patrols of the entire industrial complex, including production floors, perimeter fences, storage yards, and administrative buildings to deter and detect security risks.
- Monitor and operate advanced security systems, including multi-camera CCTV networks, electronic access control systems, and intrusion detection alarms, to maintain constant surveillance of the facility.
- Manage and enforce strict access control procedures at all entry and exit points, meticulously verifying credentials, logging visitor information, and issuing appropriate badges for all personnel, contractors, and vehicles.
- Serve as a first responder to all on-site emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, chemical spills, and security breaches, taking immediate action to mitigate harm and coordinating with external emergency services.
- Diligently enforce all company safety and security policies, ensuring personnel comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, restricted area protocols, and safe operating procedures.
- Perform comprehensive and professional security screenings of individuals, bags, and vehicles to prevent the unauthorized removal of company property and the introduction of contraband.
- Author detailed, accurate, and legible reports on all activities, incidents, and observations, including daily activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance requests, ensuring a clear record for management.
- Act as the primary communications link during an incident, calmly and clearly relaying critical information to management, emergency responders, and other security personnel via two-way radio or other systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of security and fire protection equipment, such as fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and alarm panels, to ensure they are functional and compliant with safety codes.
- Oversee the secure movement of valuable materials, sensitive components, and finished products within the facility, providing escorts and monitoring to prevent internal and external theft.
- Proactively identify, document, and report potential safety hazards, such as fluid leaks, blocked egress routes, or unsafe work practices, to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Provide security escorts for employees during shift changes or for high-value shipments, ensuring their safe transit across the property.
- Assist in the planning and execution of emergency drills, including fire evacuations and lockdown procedures, guiding employees and evaluating the effectiveness of the response.
