Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary installation team (technicians, sub-contractors and apprentices), set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and build bench strength to meet seasonal and growth demands.
- Plan, prioritize and coordinate all installation activities across assigned regions or projects, creating detailed daily and weekly schedules that align labor, materials and equipment to contractual milestones and customer availability.
- Own installation project delivery from kickoff through closeout: review site surveys, coordinate materials and logistics, assign crews, monitor progress, and validate that installations meet scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage workforce capacity and allocation by forecasting demand, tracking utilization and overtime, and deploying resources dynamically to minimize downtime and expedite critical installs.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and best practices (including OSHA or local safety regulations), lead safety meetings, track incidents, and ensure corrective action plans reduce risk and improve safety metrics.
- Drive quality assurance and technical compliance by developing checklists, conducting site inspections, verifying installations against engineering drawings and BOMs, and enforcing first-time-right standards to reduce rework and customer escalations.
- Serve as primary escalation point for field issues, resolving complex technical, scheduling or customer concerns, coordinating subject-matter experts, and ensuring timely remediation and learning capture.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Dispatch and Inventory to validate scope changes, confirm materials availability, and approve on-site change orders while maintaining margin and schedule integrity.
- Control operational costs and consumables by monitoring labor productivity, tracking parts and equipment usage, managing vendor and subcontractor spend, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), installation playbooks, and runbooks to scale repeatable installation methods and to accelerate onboarding of new technicians.
- Oversee subcontractor relationships: evaluate bids, qualify partners, negotiate scopes and SLAs, manage performance and compliance, and integrate third-party crews into the company delivery model.
- Coordinate commissioning, testing, and system handover activities, including end-to-end functional checks, customer training, completion documentation, and sign-offs to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting in project management and field service systems (e.g., FSM/ERP/CRM), including daily progress logs, quality records, timesheets, and warranty documentation.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using root-cause analysis, Kaizen events or Lean practices to reduce cycle time, raise first-time-complete rates, and increase throughput per crew.
- Recruit, interview and onboard new field technicians and supervisors; design structured onboarding and apprenticeship programs that accelerate productive field readiness.
- Build and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as installs per day, scrub rates, MTTR for escalations, rework percentage, safety incidents per 1000 hours, and customer satisfaction (NPS/CSAT), and produce weekly/monthly performance reports for leadership.
- Drive technology adoption in the field, including mobile workforce applications, digital checklist tools, remote support platforms, and inventory tracking systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
- Plan and manage equipment and vehicle fleets: schedule maintenance, track assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize routing to reduce travel time and fuel costs.
- Lead cross-functional install readiness reviews for new products or services, representing field operations in product design, packaging, and serviceability discussions to reduce install complexity.
- Manage warranty and post-install support processes by triaging service requests, assigning priority escalations, ensuring corrective actions and tracking long-term failure trends to inform product and process improvements.
- Negotiate and manage client or site-specific requirements, such as access permits, security credentials, vendor coordination, and site safety assessments to minimize installation delays.
- Prepare and manage installation budgets for assigned regions or projects, forecasting labor and materials costs, tracking actuals, and delivering to financial targets.
- Maintain a focus on customer experience by ensuring technicians adhere to professionalism standards, site cleanup, customer communication protocols and by collecting feedback to drive team improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, permitting processes and industry standards for electrical, structural, or telecom installations and coordinate inspections as required.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
