Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses and learning assessments by interviewing stakeholders, surveying learners, reviewing performance data, and mapping competency frameworks to identify root causes and prioritize learning interventions.

- Create engaging multimedia assets (voiceover scripts, motion graphics briefs, video shot lists) and collaborate with video producers and multimedia designers to produce polished instructional videos, animations, and simulations.
- Design formative and summative assessments, quizzes, practical scenarios, and performance tasks aligned to learning objectives and job-relevant behaviors; ensure reliability and validity of assessment items.
- Implement accessibility (WCAG) and universal design for learning (UDL) best practices—captioning, audio descriptions, keyboard navigation, and semantic structuring—to ensure inclusive learning for diverse audiences.
- Configure, upload, and maintain courses within LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, Canvas, Workday Learning), manage enrollments, learning paths, and release schedules, and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Integrate instructional content with learning ecosystems using SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), LTI, and simple API-based data exchanges to capture learner activity and performance data for analytics.
- Facilitate pilot sessions and usability testing with representative learners, collect qualitative feedback, iterate on prototypes, and finalize deliverables for production and launch.

- Mentor and advise subject matter experts, instructors, and new ID team members on instructional best practices, effective facilitation techniques, and content structuring for scalability.
- Implement version control and archival processes for instructional materials and source files; ensure documentation of learning designs, evaluation outcomes, and rationale for audit and continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends in learning technology, microlearning, mobile learning, AI-enabled personalization, and learning analytics to recommend emerging tools and process improvements.
- Serve as a change partner for organizational initiatives that require learning adoption, design communications, stakeholder readiness plans, and post-launch support to drive behavior change.
