Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Own end-to-end project delivery for interactive campaigns, microsites, web applications and product features—developing timelines, defining milestones, assigning resources and ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.
- Translate creative briefs and product requirements into detailed production plans, technical specifications and task-level tickets for cross-functional teams (design, engineering, QA, content).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, leading status meetings, presenting progress, managing expectations and resolving scope or priority conflicts.
- Scope, estimate and manage project budgets including resourcing, vendor costs, contingency and change requests; prepare budget forecasts and report on burn rates and profitability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (schedules, scope documents, release notes, acceptance criteria, risk registers) to support transparent handoffs and auditability.
- Coordinate agile delivery by running sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups and retrospectives; ensure stories are well-defined, prioritized and ready for engineering.
- Collaborate with UX and design leads to align user journeys, interaction models and visual assets to production constraints and technical feasibility.
- Liaise with front-end and back-end engineers to validate technical approaches, review build progress, unblock dependencies and ensure code meets functional acceptance criteria.
- Manage content strategy and workflows with editors and content designers; enforce CMS release processes, content migration plans and copy QA across languages and regions.
- Drive quality assurance by defining test plans, coordinating QA resources, triaging bugs, overseeing UAT with stakeholders and ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
- Lead cross-functional vendor and contractor management, including RFPs, onboarding, scope alignment and performance reviews to integrate external capabilities seamlessly.
- Implement and oversee analytics and measurement plans (Google Analytics, GTM, custom events) to instrument interactions, conversion funnels and A/B tests for data-driven optimization.
- Oversee accessibility and internationalization efforts—ensuring WCAG compliance checks, language/localization planning and functional parity across regions and devices.
- Facilitate risk identification and mitigation—maintaining contingency plans, escalation pathways and proactive communication when scope, schedule or quality are threatened.
- Coordinate launch activities and deployment plans with DevOps/Hosting, domain/CDN teams, and client IT to ensure smooth go-live, rollback plans and post-launch monitoring.
- Drive post-launch performance analysis, presenting key metrics, insights and prioritized optimization opportunities to stakeholders and product owners.
- Mentor and coach junior producers or project coordinators—sharing best practices in estimation, stakeholder management, ticketing and QA to elevate team delivery standards.
- Ensure handoffs between phases (discovery, design, build, launch) are complete with sign-offs and that all production artifacts are archived for future reference.
- Advocate for efficient production tooling and processes (project management platforms, design handoff tools, CI/CD practices) to improve team throughput and reduce rework.
- Lead cross-discipline workshops (prioritization, sprint planning, design critiques, launch readiness) to align teams and accelerate decision-making.
- Manage feature rollouts and iterative releases, coordinating feature flags, staged deployments and monitoring to limit user impact while enabling continuous delivery.
- Negotiate and manage change requests: assess impact on timeline, budget and scope, produce clear change orders and secure stakeholder approvals before execution.
- Own stakeholder communication cadences—weekly status reports, executive summaries, milestone demos and retrospective insights to keep leadership informed and aligned.
- Champion usability testing sessions and prototype validation during discovery to reduce downstream rework and validate assumptions before engineering investment.
