  • Prepare clear, client-facing technical reports, status updates, and executive summaries for stakeholders, including board-level briefings when necessary for strategic international accounts.
  • Manage project budgets, forecast resource needs, approve local expenditures, and track cost-to-complete; negotiate local supplier contracts and change-orders to minimize commercial exposure.
  • Maintain and update export control and regulatory documentation (ITAR, EAR where applicable), ensure restricted component screening, and collaborate with legal/compliance teams to maintain adherence to international trade sanctions and licensing requirements.
  • Deploy remote diagnostic and monitoring solutions (SCADA, IoT telemetry) to support global fleet performance, set up secure remote access protocols, and train local teams on data-driven maintenance practices.
  • Lead cultural and language-aware engagement with clients and partners: adapt communication style, translate technical content when necessary, and build trust to secure repeat business and favorable contract terms.
  • Oversee environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations on international sites by minimizing waste, ensuring safe disposal of hazardous materials, and promoting sustainability measures aligned with client goals.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives by collecting field data from global deployments, analyzing failure modes, and proposing design or process changes to reduce lifecycle costs and improve reliability.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project deliverables in the company’s ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Windchill), maintain version control of drawings and documents, and archive project records in accordance with company policy.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for international service incidents, coordinate multi-disciplinary response teams, and drive closure of critical issues under tight timelines with clear action plans.
  • Support pre-sales activities for international opportunities: perform site surveys, feasibility studies, gap analyses, and provide technical input to commercial offers to improve win rates and ensure feasibility.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate data needs into engineering requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the data engineering team.
  • Mentor junior engineers assigned to international projects and provide competency development plans for local staff.
