Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead the development, negotiation, and management of bilateral and multilateral partnership agreements, memoranda of understanding (MoUs), and contracts with universities, NGOs, government agencies, and corporate partners to expand international collaborations and exchange programs.
- Design, implement, and oversee international mobility programs for students, faculty, and staff, including outbound and inbound exchanges, internships, study abroad placements, and visiting scholar arrangements, ensuring timely processing and high participant satisfaction.

- Support the institution’s international strategy by identifying market opportunities, conducting partner due diligence, developing business cases for strategic partnerships, and preparing briefing materials for senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
- Oversee grant and donor relations for international projects: prepare proposals, maintain donor communication, manage sub-awards and contracts, and ensure compliance with donor terms and reporting schedules.
- Coordinate international travel logistics and risk management for staff and delegations, including travel authorization, travel insurance, pre-departure briefings, emergency support, and health and safety assessments.

- Manage the international activities budget including forecasting, tracking expenses for mobility programs, partnerships, and international events, and working with finance teams to ensure accurate accounting and compliance with funder restrictions.
- Design and deliver training, information sessions, and written guidance on international compliance, mobility processes, visa requirements, cultural awareness, and partner onboarding for internal staff and students.
- Lead monitoring, evaluation and reporting for international programs: set KPIs, capture outputs/outcomes, prepare impact reports, and use evidence to refine program design and demonstrate value to stakeholders and funders.
- Coordinate international events, delegations, conferences, and official visits: plan logistics, manage invitations, prepare briefing packs, and ensure high-quality execution and relationship cultivation.
- Act as the primary liaison for crisis response related to international incidents affecting students or staff abroad, coordinating with internal teams, embassies, insurers and family contacts to deliver timely assistance and evacuation planning when needed.
- Maintain and improve CRM systems and databases (e.g., Salesforce, Banner) to accurately record partner details, mobility metrics, contract milestones, and stakeholder communications, ensuring data integrity and reporting readiness.
- Conduct market research and landscape analyses to identify geopolitical, regulatory, and partner risks and opportunities; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and strategic briefs.
- Support international admissions and recruitment activities by working with recruitment teams on partner pathways, articulation agreements, recruitment events, and policy alignment for international applicants.
- Manage the onboarding and orientation of international partners, delegations, and visiting academics, ensuring clear expectations, compliance checks, and smooth operational integration.
- Liaise with academic departments to facilitate joint curriculum development, dual degrees, and cross-border program delivery; coordinate academic approvals, quality assurance checks and accreditation requirements.
- Lead project management for time-bound international initiatives (capacity building, technical assistance, research partnerships): develop project plans, manage deliverables, supervise vendors or consultants, and report progress to funders or steering committees.
