Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Capture, validate and input trade instructions (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, FX) into the order management and post-trade systems, ensuring accuracy of trade details, settlement dates, counterparty information and compliance with investment guidelines.
- Monitor trade lifecycle from order execution through settlement, proactively identifying and resolving fails, breaks, and exceptions with brokers, custodians, counterparties and internal teams to minimize settlement risk and penalties.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash, securities and positions between portfolio accounting systems, custodians and sub-custodians, documenting variances and driving timely resolution to maintain accurate NAV calculations and client reporting.
- Process corporate actions (income, dividends, splits, mergers, tender offers) end-to-end: interpret notices, determine client election impacts, update positions, communicate with transfer agents and confirm adjustments in accounting records.
- Execute cash management tasks including funding of settlements, sweeps, cash movements, wire instructions and maintenance of bank account details to ensure liquidity and avoid settlement shortfalls.
- Prepare and review trade confirmations and settlement instructions; ensure timely communication of mismatches and confirmations to counterparties and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update position and transaction records in fund accounting systems (e.g., Geneva, SimCorp, SS&C) and reconcile to the general ledger to support accurate financial statements and audit readiness.
- Investigate and resolve intra-day and end-of-day breaks using system tools and manual analysis, escalating systemic issues to team leads and control functions with recommended corrective actions.
- Support NAV production activities by verifying transaction feeds, accruals, corporate actions and valuation inputs; provide exception reports and root-cause analysis for NAV variances.
- Apply and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements (KYC/AML, FATCA, local market rules), escalate suspicious activities, and support periodic reviews with Compliance and Risk teams.
- Execute trade allocations, reclaims and trade corrections in accordance with internal procedures and market settlement rules, documenting changes and approvals in the transaction ledger.
- Maintain accurate fee and commission records related to trades and settlements, coordinate with billing and accounting teams to ensure fee calculations are reflected correctly.
- Manage relationships with custodians, brokers, transfer agents and counterparties for settlement confirmations, documentation requests, and operational issue resolution.
- Participate in daily operations stand-ups and cross-functional coordination to align on settlement priorities, risk hotspots and client deliverables.
- Generate and distribute daily/weekly operational reports and exception logs (settlement fails, reconciliations, cash positions) to operations managers and relevant business units.
- Support audit, regulatory exam and internal control requests by preparing required documentation, explaining processes and implementing remediation plans for identified findings.
- Maintain and enhance process and procedure documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks and checklists to improve onboarding, knowledge transfer and process consistency.
- Implement and test system/process changes, including UAT participation, data migration validation and post-implementation checks to ensure operational readiness and minimal business disruption.
- Provide front-line support for client inquiries and ad-hoc trade queries, delivering timely, accurate responses and escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma concepts) to simplify workflows, reduce manual touchpoints and decrease processing time and error rates.
- Perform month-end and year-end cut-over activities related to transactions, reconciliations and reporting to ensure accurate period closes and statutory compliance.
- Monitor and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for trade processing, settlement confirmations, reconciliations and client requests, taking ownership of overdue items and communicating status to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with middle office for P&L, exposure and limit checks prior to settlement when required, ensuring trades adhere to portfolio controls.
- Train and mentor junior operations staff, providing feedback, process coaching and knowledge transfer to raise team capability and maintain coverage during peak periods or absences.

- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance straight-through-processing (STP) rates, system integrations and workflow automation.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
