Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Cultivate and nurture long-term client relationships through meticulous clienteling, personalized communication, and exceptional follow-up to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Proactively achieve and exceed personal and store sales goals by leveraging expert product knowledge and sophisticated sales techniques.
  • Serve as a brand storyteller, eloquently communicating the history, craftsmanship, and inspiration behind each jewelry collection and signature piece.
  • Conduct expert consultations on diamonds and precious gemstones, clearly explaining quality characteristics like the 4Cs and unique attributes to build client confidence.
  • Manage the complete client journey from initial greeting and discovery to closing the sale and providing world-class after-sales service.
  • Actively generate new business through networking, client referrals, and strategic outreach, consistently expanding your personal client book.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on jewelry care, maintenance, repair services, and warranty information to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment for the client.
  • Master and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all product lines, including new arrivals, technical specifications, and inventory levels.
  • Skillfully guide clients through the custom design process, translating their vision into a tangible concept for our artisans.
  • Plan and execute personalized client outreach for birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant life events, suggesting relevant and thoughtful gift options.
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns with grace, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring a positive outcome that reinforces their trust in the brand.
  • Maintain a polished and professional demeanor and appearance that is reflective of a luxury brand ambassador.
  • Confidently handle high-value transactions, including processing payments, special orders, and financing applications with accuracy and discretion.
  • Stay abreast of current market trends, competitor activities, and developments in the worlds of fashion, art, and luxury to better serve as a style advisor.

Secondary Functions

  • Meticulously assist in the execution of visual merchandising directives, ensuring all displays are pristine, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Actively participate in all inventory management activities, including daily merchandise counts, cycle counts, and comprehensive annual stocktakes to ensure accuracy.
  • Uphold and enforce all security protocols for handling and showcasing high-value merchandise during opening, closing, and daily operations.
  • Support the successful execution of in-store events, trunk shows, and marketing initiatives by preparing the space, engaging with guests, and representing the brand.
  • Collaborate positively with team members to achieve collective goals, sharing best practices and contributing to a supportive and high-energy store culture.
  • Diligently complete all assigned training on new products, company policies, and professional development in a timely manner.
  • Assist with operational duties as needed, including gift wrapping, maintaining store cleanliness, and organizing back-of-house areas.
  • Beautifully prepare and package client purchases to create a memorable and luxurious unboxing experience.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Gemological Knowledge: Strong understanding of diamonds (the 4Cs), precious metals, and colored gemstones. GIA (or equivalent) certification is highly desirable.
  • POS & CRM Proficiency: Experience operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for clienteling and sales tracking.
  • Luxury Sales Acumen: Proven ability to sell high-value items through a relationship-based, consultative approach.
  • Inventory Management: Familiarity with stock-taking procedures and the secure handling of valuable merchandise.
  • Visual Merchandising: An eye for detail and an understanding of how to present luxury products in an appealing way.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • GIA Certification (AJP, GG) or other accredited gemological credentials.

  • Business Administration or Marketing

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a client-facing role.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience in fine jewelry, high-end watches, or a comparable luxury retail environment is strongly preferred. A proven history of achieving sales goals and building a personal client book is a significant asset.
