Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide an exceptional, high-touch client experience by warmly greeting guests, offering hospitality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand's luxury standards.
- Act as direct support to Senior Jewelry Consultants by preparing and presenting merchandise for client viewings, ensuring pieces are polished and perfectly arranged.
- Master the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately and efficiently process all types of transactions, including sales, returns, and special orders.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our fine jewelry collections, including details on gemstones, precious metals, craftsmanship, and brand history.
- Assist in clienteling efforts by maintaining and updating client profiles in the CRM system with preferences, purchase history, and important dates.
- Manage client appointments by coordinating schedules for consultants, preparing for client arrivals, and ensuring a smooth and personalized consultation.
- Handle incoming client inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and polish, providing information or directing them to the appropriate consultant.
- Beautifully and meticulously gift wrap client purchases, ensuring the final presentation aligns with our high standards of luxury and care.
- Facilitate the intake process for jewelry repairs and servicing, carefully documenting client needs and coordinating with the workshop or master jeweler.
- Support the sales process by retrieving various options for clients, assisting with trying on jewelry, and providing basic product information.
Secondary Functions
- Meticulously clean, polish, and maintain the appearance of all showroom jewelry, ensuring pieces are presented in pristine condition under display lighting.
- Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures of the showroom, including securing all high-value merchandise in vaults.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle checks to ensure accuracy and prevent loss, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Support the visual merchandising team by assisting in the setup and maintenance of elegant and compelling displays in accordance with brand directives.
- Assist in the meticulous management of jewelry inventory, including receiving shipments, verifying merchandise, tagging new items, and organizing the back stock.
- Prepare and manage shipments for client purchases, inter-store transfers, or returns to vendors, ensuring secure packaging and accurate documentation.
- Maintain the overall tidiness and organization of the sales floor and back-of-house areas, including client hospitality stations and wrapping desks.
- Assist in planning and executing in-store events, trunk shows, and private client viewings to drive engagement and sales.
- Follow up with clients on the status of their repairs, special orders, or alterations, providing clear and timely communication.
- Uphold all security protocols and procedures to safeguard the store's assets, employees, and clients at all times.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Proficiency in using modern Point of Sale (POS) systems and payment processing terminals.
- Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software for data entry and clienteling.
- Basic knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and the 4 Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat).
- Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and simple reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and software.
