Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and special occasions, guiding them through the selection process to find the perfect piece of jewelry.
  • Drive and achieve individual and team sales targets by leveraging expert product knowledge and effective sales techniques in a luxury environment.
  • Educate clients on the characteristics and value of diamonds (the 4 Cs), colored gemstones, and precious metals, empowering them to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Build and maintain a long-term, loyal client base through diligent clienteling, including personalized follow-ups, milestone reminders, and new arrival notifications.
  • Master an in-depth knowledge of all jewelry collections, including the inspiration, craftsmanship, and unique selling points of each piece.
  • Provide a complete luxury experience by skillfully presenting jewelry, articulating the brand story, and creating an atmosphere of exclusivity and trust.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial consultation and product selection to closing the sale and processing the transaction accurately on the POS system.
  • Handle custom design inquiries and special orders, serving as the liaison between the client, designers, and jewelers to ensure the final piece exceeds expectations.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships by actively listening to their stories and connecting emotionally, turning a transaction into a memorable experience.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions that uphold the brand's reputation.

Secondary Functions

  • Meticulously maintain the visual merchandising standards of the showroom, ensuring all displays are pristine, well-lit, and arranged to attract and engage clients.
  • Participate in all aspects of store operations, including daily opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the precise management of high-value inventory, including receiving new stock, conducting regular cycle counts, and participating in annual audits to prevent loss.
  • Perform basic jewelry cleaning and inspection for customers, providing a value-added service that enhances client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Carefully and securely handle all merchandise, adhering strictly to the company’s security protocols for showcasing, storing, and transporting jewelry.
  • Beautifully wrap and package client purchases in accordance with brand standards to elevate the post-purchase experience.
  • Stay informed about current jewelry trends, competitor activities, and developments in the gemological world to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Support in-store events, trunk shows, and marketing initiatives by actively participating and engaging with guests to promote the brand.
  • Collaborate positively with team members to ensure a seamless customer journey and contribute to a supportive, high-performance work environment.
  • Uphold all company policies, especially those concerning security, inventory control, and the confidentiality of client information.
  • Document client preferences and purchase history in the CRM system to enable personalized future interactions and marketing efforts.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • POS System Proficiency: Experience operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and processing various transaction types (cash, credit, returns).
  • Jewelry Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of fine jewelry, including the 4 Cs of diamonds, common gemstones, and precious metals (gold, platinum, silver).
    -Inventory Management: Experience with inventory control procedures, including stock counts, receiving, and loss prevention.
  • Clienteling/CRM Software: Familiarity with using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track client data and communication.
  • Visual Merchandising: A keen eye for detail and aesthetics to maintain beautiful and compelling product displays.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:
