Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively greet and engage every client, establishing a welcoming and professional rapport to understand their unique needs and desires.
  • Provide an exceptional, high-touch sales experience by guiding clients through the product selection process with expert knowledge and personalized recommendations.
  • Develop and articulate a deep understanding of the full product catalog, including the characteristics of diamonds (4Cs), colored gemstones, precious metals, and watch mechanics.
  • Master and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy, processing various transaction types including cash, credit, layaway, and special financing options.
  • Build and diligently maintain a personal client book, fostering long-term relationships through personalized follow-up and notifications about new arrivals and events.
  • Execute daily operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring all security protocols for high-value merchandise are strictly followed.
  • Maintain immaculate store presentation by cleaning display cases, arranging jewelry attractively, and adhering to visual merchandising standards.
  • Assist in the management of store inventory, including receiving new stock, verifying shipments, and accurately entering data into the inventory system.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies for management.
  • Manage the intake, documentation, and tracking of customer jewelry for repairs, cleaning, and appraisals, ensuring clear communication on timelines and costs.
  • Strive to consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by store management.
  • Educate clients on proper jewelry care and maintenance techniques to preserve the beauty and longevity of their purchases.
  • Handle customer service issues and complaints with empathy and professionalism, seeking to find effective resolutions that uphold the store's reputation.
  • Skillfully answer store phone calls, respond to email inquiries, and manage appointment bookings in a timely and courteous manner.
