Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, compose, and arrange original, highly memorable musical compositions that align with a brand's identity, target audience, and the overall campaign message.
  • Write clever, concise, and impactful lyrics that effectively communicate a product's value proposition and brand ethos in a catchy, singable format.
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, copywriters, art directors, and marketing teams to translate brand briefs and strategic objectives into compelling musical concepts.
  • Produce high-quality, broadcast-ready demos and final audio tracks using digital audio workstations (DAWs) and professional studio equipment.
  • Arrange and orchestrate music for a variety of instrumental and vocal styles, adapting to fit the specific needs and budget of each project.
  • Direct, guide, and coach vocalists and session musicians during recording sessions to elicit the best possible performance that captures the intended tone and energy.
  • Methodically revise and iterate on musical compositions and lyrics based on constructive feedback from internal teams and external clients, ensuring final delivery exceeds expectations.
  • Manage multiple jingle and audio branding projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines without compromising creative quality.
  • Pitch musical ideas, present demos, and articulate creative choices with passion and clarity to clients and key stakeholders, justifying how the music achieves their marketing goals.
  • Adapt musical styles fluidly across a wide spectrum of genres and tones to suit a diverse range of products, services, and brand personalities.
  • Record, edit, mix, and master audio tracks to a professional standard, ensuring technical excellence and optimal sound quality across all media platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive sonic branding guidelines and toolkits for clients, including sonic logos, brand anthems, and other audio assets to ensure brand consistency.

Secondary Functions

  • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously researching and analyzing current trends in popular music, advertising, and audio technology to keep our creative output fresh and relevant.
  • Ensure all created and utilized musical content, including melodies, samples, and lyrics, is original or properly licensed to avoid any copyright infringement issues.
  • Research target audience demographics and psychographics to inform the creation of sonically appealing content that will resonate deeply and effectively.
  • Provide expert consultation to clients and internal teams on the strategic use of music and sound in advertising campaigns to maximize emotional impact and recall.
  • Manage the sourcing, negotiation, and hiring of freelance talent, such as vocalists, instrumentalists, and external producers, for specific project needs.
  • Maintain a meticulously organized digital library of all musical assets, project files, and final deliverables for easy retrieval and future use.
  • Score short-form video content, web series, social media ads, and other promotional materials, ensuring seamless synchronization of audio and visuals.
  • Contribute to the technical upkeep and operation of in-house studio equipment, software, and instrument libraries.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for broader advertising campaigns, offering a unique, music-first perspective to the team.
  • Ensure the seamless technical integration of jingles and audio assets with visual advertising elements in video, web, and radio formats.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level Songwriting & Composition: Demonstrated mastery of melody, harmony, rhythm, and song structure.
  • Lyrical Proficiency: The ability to write clever, concise, and memorable lyrics that tell a story and sell a product.
  • DAW Proficiency: High-level skills in at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (e.g., Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio).
  • Music Production: Comprehensive knowledge of arranging, recording, and producing music from concept to final track.
  • Audio Engineering: Strong skills in mixing and mastering to produce broadcast-quality, professionally polished audio.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition, Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related creative/technical field.
